Welcome Interstate Managers (2003)Perhaps it's inevitable that any band that gets interviewed on three different NPR shows will be called "geek rockers", but these guys are too witty to dismiss. Two songs are particularly hooky and literate, Stacy's Mom (for which there's an audio file at the Fresh Air site): Stacy's mom, has got it goin on...and, from their eponymous first disc: Leave the BikerBoth are so compulsively catchy that you'll have trouble getting them out of your head, but smart and fun enough that you'll not much mind when you find yourself singing them. Someone should sic Phyllis Schlafly on "Fountains Of Wayne." Good Christians everywhere should reject this disgusting attack on the Western Judeo-Christian tradition. - Burzum - Jan-18-2007, 15:27 ******************************************************* |
